For delegation, Tezzigator ONLY receives your block generation & endorsing "power", NEVER any spending ability!
Tezzigator currently charges a small fee of 0.5%. The fee is subject to change with market conditions. The fee stays static within a cycle of blocks.
Your payments will be handled automatically back to you after a cycle has completed (an alphanet cycle is 64 blocks, the production cycle length is TBD) and has gotten 512 block confirmations.
What is a delegate?
A delegate is a Tezos identity/account that is configured to participate in network consensus, block generation, and block signing. A delegate works in conjunction with a Tezos node that has a full copy of the Tezos blockchain.
Do I need a delegate?
All Tezos accounts (contracts) are assigned a delegate at creation.
Wait, what? I already have a delegate? WHO?
Depending on how you created your account/contract, you could be your own delegate, or it could be someone else that was chosen for you (the delegate that generated the block that created your account in the blockchain.
I can be my own delegate?
Yes, if you are technically inclined to manage a full Tezos node, maintain security/software patches, updates, and are willing to post up a security bond. Tezzigator can handle all of this for you anonymously and securely.
How do I pick a delegate?
The Tezos Community forums are great for research. Of course we think we are a GREAT choice, already operating in this same space with the NXT delegation over the past few years. At height, controlling over 3millionUSD of block power, we are already trusted and experienced, and aim to gain trust with you.
What is a "bond"? As the delegator in our relationship, Tezzigator is the one who fronts the bond which is a certain amount of ꜩ held in security deposit by the network consensus. Your ꜩ are never at risk. You get the best of both worlds; No one but you can spend your ꜩ and it's never at risk!
Does my ꜩ get locked when I delegate? At this point, it looks like the devs are creating the system such that your delegated funds are not frozenl; you can transfer/spend as you wish.
So how do I start the process? Simply use your Tezos client to send a delegate order/operation/transaction to our IDENTITY address listed up top.
What if my ꜩ balance changes? To ensure equitable treatment across all constituents, earnings are calculated on an aggregated per-block weighted balance of the entire cycle.
And I can stop at any time? The Tezos dev have not confirmed this, but it look as if at any time you can change delegates, even back to your own Identity if you wish, which removes any earning power during blocks generated for the period Tezzigator is not your delegate.
Identity? Contract? Account? When a Tezos "account" is created, there are really 2 parts to it. There is the "identity" which can be used for delegate duties. Then there is the "contract" or "account" as the term that is traditionally used; this part is your "wallet". Both the Identity and Contract/Account share the same private key.
